Introduction Water resource management is a critical challenge in Pakistan, particularly in the Indus Basin Irrigation System (IBIS), which is one of the largest and most complex irrigation networks in the world. Accurate and real-time monitoring of water discharge is essential for efficient water distribution, flood management, and agricultural productivity. To address these challenges, a Telemetry System for Real-Time Discharge Monitoring has been installed at 27 key sites across IBIS, ensuring precise data collection and improved decision-making for water management authorities.
